Hey,
Is anyone using the Student Assignment Submission feature of Infinite Campus? Did you know that you can enable students to submit assignments through the portal?
If you are using this tool, please feel free to share how you are using it with your students and how it's working for you and your students.
Welcome MMSD MS/HS Teachers! As of Aug. 2015 all will use the new version of GradeBook in Infinite Campus called Campus Instruction, it is available now!
Tip sheets for the old version will remain in Blog Archive (lower right) until August and new tip sheets will be added now for Campus Instruction. I hope you find this blog useful, pass it on!
The views expressed are those of the MMSD employees and do not reflect the opinion/views of the Madison Metropolitan School District.

Elementary teachers
Thank you elementary teachers for your patience during second quarter grading. We’ve gathered suggestions and worked out issues in the application so that third quarter reporting should be much more smooth. The programmers have worked hard to address as many enhancement requests as possible and will continue to work on them; we will keep you posted on the progress.
The third quarter grading window will open on Friday, March 16.
Please keep in mind these tips while you enter your third quarter grades:
There is now a place for elementary teachers to report grading issues. Enter the work order in two ways:
1) From the grading application, select the Help icon with the life ring in the top right corner.
2) In your application launcher, select the first icon on the top left called _Computer Work Order (just as you would if your computer is not working properly).
If you are asked to log in, your username is your b number (with the b), and your password is the password you use to log in to your computer in the morning (network password). After you’re in, click on the link that says “Submit a Service Request.” There is a brief form to complete. Choosing the category “Grade Reporting” will ensure that your issue is routed to the correct department so that it can be addressed quickly and efficiently. If you have trouble submitting the form, please call or email Stacy Smith (663-5239 or ssmith2@madison.k12.wi.us).

Please keep in mind these tips while you enter your third quarter grades:
- Save often
- Do not enter grades at the same time a co-teacher is entering grades for the same students and sections.

Assignment Copier Tool - Enhancement
(Instruction>>Assignments>>Copy Assignments)
Previously when copying assignments from one section to another due dates that did not fall within the current grading period copied to were not shown. Due dates are necessary for assignments to appear in the grade book. To fix this a user is now given the option of adding a single due date to all assignments copied into another term.
Want Spell Checker When Grading? - Use Firefox
Use Firefox to do your grading and comments in Infinite Campus, it has a spell checker built in. All browsers -- except IE 8 and lower -- already have a spell checker built in so it is not something we need to add as an enhancement request. :)
