Updates to IC - 2/22/12

There were a couple of enhancements that were added to Infinite Campus with the update we applied last night. 

Instruction>>Assignments>>Edit Categories - A new Copy Categories option was added. It allows you to copy to one section at a time. It seems to go quickly. :)

Instruction>>Assignments>>Select an actual Assignment and when you go to score you will see a new tab called - Edit Assignment 

You can also create activities that will show up on the Calendar in the Student and Parent Portal. Here is the video to demo how to do this. (Note: These show up in the Daily Planner in the teacher portal)

"Is there any chance that we can ever get IC email links to connect with our school Gmail?"

Using Firefox - log into your MMSD Gmail account in one tab, open Infinite Campus in another tab. Right click on the email you want to send to instead of clicking on the link and choose Open Link in New Tab. This will open create a mail tab where the email is already entered. Type in your subject and message and send.

Validate in Instruction-> Validate

Just a reminder that when a teacher sees a Validation message in Assignments, the section(s) should be validated. Sometimes this takes just a few seconds, and sometimes it can take about a minute.

The Validation message usually occurs after a change has been made to the configuration of teachers.
